Rovinj
Rovinj is a small city in Croatia situated on the north Adriatic Sea, on the West coast of Istria peninsula.
Originally the peninsula on which the city lies was an island, separated from the mainland by a channel. The latter was filled in 1763.
In Rovinj Archipelago there are 22 islets, of which St. Andrija (Andrew) and St. Katarina (Catherine) are the biggest and most beautiful. It is a very popular tourist resort. Rovinj is also unofficially considered one of the most beautiful towns on the Adriatic coast and therefore is called "Blue Pearl of the Adriatic".High summer days in Rovinj are spent on the pine-backed beaches.
In the summer months, the city is buzzing with young people and it is full of life. There are a lot of events in the summer months - exhibits in galleries, also on open-air, concerts, artistic happenings and many other things. When you come to Rovinj we recommend you to visit Monvi Center, an entertainment factory for people of all ages.
